Tibenham - A Norfolk Village

Tibenham (spelt Tibbenham or Tybbenham in times past) is a small village situated in  South Norfolk, England. There are few major roads or railways near, so it has retained much of its quiet, unspoilt character.

This site was originally developed to raise funds for our Peal Appeal, and we have restored the peal of six bells originally hung in a medieval oak frame, raising £80 000 in just over 2 years.  The Committee would like to thank our many friends and donors for their generous support.

We are now launching Phase 2 of the Church Restoration Project Appeal.  We need to raise £49000 in the next 3 years to preserve and enhance All Saints' Church Tibenham.  See here for details of our latest appeal.

The website has since grown in scope and there are lots of other things to explore:

Village Life, and Village events, including the Tibenham Village Hall and Village Hall events.

The beauty of the medieval All Saints' Church.  Also contact details for the Rector and details of Church of England services.

The history of the village, the Lords of the Manor and the strong links with American Servicemen of the 445th Bomb Group who flew from Tibenham Airbase during the Second World War.

Genealogical research data.
